The road to recovery can be harsh and daunting, but the personal growth of a survivor is immeasurable.

The third documentary by Nicholas Serenati is a portrait in progress that follows one woman's courage and determination through personal tragedy. 
A professional horse trainer with over thirty years experience undergoes twelve hours of reconstructive facial surgery.

It's a new day and Leslie begins to reclaim her life, identity and passion. 
Leslie's strength and spirit can be celebrated by many, but her choice to continue working in a profession that almost claimed her life may be her most arduous decision. 
Leslie is the Soul Survivor.
